Have you ever thought about the exercises that make you look older?  But you would think why would I like to do that. One takes out time to exercise to look young and not the vice versa.  Obviously, as a fitness professional, you are here to look young and fit, but  ???

What if the exercise you are doing is giving you the reverse result. I know some of the guys for whom their fitness level got affected after a period of 3 months of exercise.  But why is it happening?  Have you encountered any such condition?  I am sure most of you would be having personal trainers who can provide you expert guidance on the exercises              

Here I would like to list down some of the exercises which actually make you look older:

1. Only Cardio but no strength training:

People who are doing only cardio may not burn as many calories what it had been when you are doing weight training. 

Here comes the difference, taking up some of the weight training exercises is generally recommended by experts.

2. Exercising for long hours and lack of sleep:

When you keep on exercising ( which is a good thing in fact) without any plan which in turn is without taking any breaks in between can actually lead you to a demotivated workout result.

Sleep plays a very important factor here in case you are not taking proper sleep then results might not be as good as you expected. 

You need to remember here that a proper balance routine is required and is imperative to help you get your desired result.

3. Not a Good Posture :

Many a time you are so excited in completing your workout that you are not taking a correct posture. It may be due to the fact that you might have been wrongly guided by someone or you are imitating someone who is himself doing wrong.

Bad posture can actually be a point of worry for your body as it may look improper if you have been practicing for quite some time now.

4.  Not taking out time for a vacation:

You have been so much involved in an exercise that it’s difficult for you to take out time for yourself which is not the right thing.  You know results have shown you get best results when you take a good number of trips, be it small ones.

You should make it a habit of taking out time to have one family trip or with friends once in 2 months.  When you come from vacation, you are indeed more charged up and motivated to actually give your best and that’s what keeps it going. 

5. Alcohol :

While it’s totally fine that having alcohol on an occasional basis is fine, however, regular consumption and addiction will not do any good for your exercise that you do.  Rather it can actually increase your sugar intake which is itself one of the biggest reasons of you looking old sooner than your age.

I believe anyone who devotes time for exercising is really working hard to achieve the goal of any sort be it short term or long term. So, it’s very important to work out in the right manner where it does maximum benefits in keeping us fit rather than the opposite.
